The IPPS New Zealand Region is one of seven regional organisations which make up IPPS International with around 1,000 members worldwide in North America, Europe, South Africa, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

The IPPS New Zealand Region held its first meeting at Waikato University, Hamilton in 1971 and became a region in its own right in 1982.

Now with over 200 members across New Zealand, the IPPS New Zealand Region has members covering a wide variety of interests in plant production and propagation including growers, propagators, academics, researchers and students. Members are encouraged to share their knowledge with other members and it is this aspect that makes IPPS a great organisation to be a member of.

The IPPS New Zealand Region is run by an executive committee which oversees the day to day running of the organisation. An International Director represents the region on the International Board.
